Embroidered patches are everywhere from police and military to local teams, clubs and organizations. They can be applied to hats, shirts, uniforms, jackets and more.
The first step in creating custom embroidered patches is to create the artwork that will translate into the final product. After artwork is created it is sent for digitizing which makes a computer program that can be read by embroidery machines. Without proper digitizing your patches wont look as desirable.
After digitizing, the patches are stitched to a background that is usually a standard twill material, cut and finished with a complimenting border. Once the patches are produced a backing is chosen depending on the application. Options are a heat seal backing that can be ironed on, Adhesive that is similar to a double sided tape, velcro, or no backing at all to be sewn on.
